Academics
We at Redeemer Lutheran are committed to the academic achievement of our students. Our curriculum addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of the whole child. Our students graduate well-prepared for success in high school and beyond.
Elementary Education at Redeemer
Redeemer Lutheran School provides a supportive Christian elementary school experience in Pensacola designed to build a strong academic foundation while helping children grow in faith, confidence, and responsibility. Students develop essential skills across core subjects while benefiting from individualized attention, resource support, Spanish instruction, technology, and additional enrichment opportunities.
Our goal is to help elementary students become confident learners who are prepared academically and personally for the transition into middle school.
Middle School at Redeemer
Redeemer’s middle school program in Pensacola prepares students for the academic expectations of high school while continuing to provide the close-knit, Christ-centered environment that defines our school community.
Students have opportunities to strengthen core academic skills while participating in programs such as advanced math, Spanish, athletics, and other enrichment activities. Our teachers work to challenge students academically while developing responsibility, character, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
Grading System
Students enrolled in VPK have a skill sets grading system; K-5 and first grade have a standards-based grading system. Second through eighth grade students have a letter grading system with a ten-point scale.
Advanced Math
Redeemer Lutheran School provides advanced math instruction for students in grades 5 through 8, challenging learners and fostering strong problem-solving skills.
Chess
Redeemer Lutheran School provides chess instruction for students in grades K5 through 5.
Honor Roll
At the end of each quarter, we publish a list of the students who earned a place on the honor roll. This program recognizes straight-A and A-B honor students in second through eighth grades. We base inclusion on grade averages reported in core subjects, religion, and conduct (excluding art, physical education, music, and handwriting).
Resource
To ensure that all students meet grade level expectations, Redeemer Lutheran School has several resource teachers. These teachers work in conjunction with the classroom teachers to develop programs that accelerate students in their educational progress. This includes small group instruction as well as in-class enrichment.
Spanish
Redeemer offers Spanish classes for all ages.
Chromebooks
Redeemer Lutheran School has 1:1 Chromebooks for all students kindergarten through eighth grades.
