Military Families

Thank You for Your Service!

Redeemer Lutheran School is situated less than 2 miles from NAS Pensacola and has a long-standing tradition of supporting military families. We have several spots reserved exclusively for military families, recognizing that they face unique challenges that other families may not. We strive to accommodate their needs to the best of our ability.

For Our Military Families

Transition/Academic Planning

At Redeemer Lutheran School, we have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by children of military families when transitioning to a new school due to a parent’s change in duty station. We are aware of the difficulties that military children encounter, including disruptions in curriculum, varying graduation requirements, and the social and emotional challenges of leaving behind familiar friends and activities. To assist with transition planning, we have provided online forms for application documents, enrollment, registration, and other essential school information.

Military Recognition Events and Activities

Month of the Military Child
April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize the contributions and sacrifices of military children and their families. In addition to recognizing our military children and making our students aware of the types of sacrifices our military members make, each child is given a dandelion, the official emblem of the military, and a copy of the dandelion poem.

Patriot Day Service
On September 11 each year, we hold a special service where our elementary students showcase a selection of patriotic songs to honor the courage and sacrifice of the heroes of that day. Each child is encouraged to invite a patriot in their life to join us for the service, followed by a reception that will feature refreshments.
